Goodbye Feedroom
Today was my last day of work at the Feedroom, almost two years after I joined the company. It’s been a wild ride during that time, from whipping together my first flash video player for bettycrocker.com to helping architect the player now used by virtually all the feedroom sites, from usatoday.com to ivillage.com. There’s also that embedded player now running on the front page of the New York Times website, which we kicked out in April along with their big redesign. I’m sad to leave a good group of people from whom I’ve learned so much, but I have no doubt that they’ll continue to innovate and lead the pack (and boy, is it getting crowded lately) in the streaming video arena.
On Wednesday I start work at Domani Studios, located in Dumbo. I’m excited to go to a small, design-driven environment - something I’ve been looking for since I first started working. It also means I finally get to live and work in the same borough, after years of commuting across bridges and tunnels. I’m looking forward to the change.
