Nice post. The HD and the audio on the ice so we can hear sticks/skates, players chirping each other really makes you feel like your at the game. Center Ice needs to be in HD. If I have to watch any more Tampa Bay lightning feeds, AND be in SD, I might vomit.

My all-time favorite NYC bathroom graffitti:

"Jesus Saves, but Gretzky gets the rebound - he shoots, he scores!"

And yes, it's telling of the NHL's status that Versus has "Bulls" and "Hunting/Fishing" as its other big programming highlights.

Bachir:

I don't think you're missing anything – this was written against RubyAMF version 1.3.4 and SSR version 1. I believe that RubyAMF is up to 1.5, and SSR2 has been out for a while as well.

When I have some time next week I'll try to update this simple example against the latest versions.

great post!

I am not sure if the ssr package has changed since then, but in actionscript when passing for example:
rs.destroy( [ {id:personId} ], onResult, onFault );

in ruby the only way i could retrieve the id was like this:

def destroy
 @person = Person.find(params[0][:id])
 ...

instead of
def destroy
 @person = Person.find(params[:id])
 ...

since it's an array of objects being passed rather than an object.

just found that out after have wasted some time.

do you agree, or is there something I am missing?

I just wanted to express some kudos for Matias. A few months ago I busted off the foot of my Tactile Pro keyboard and called them to see if it was possible to purchase a spare part. They promptly shipped out two feet at no charge.

I love my Tactile Pro.

Unfortunately, Apple portable's keyboard standards are declining too as they are getting cheaper and cheaper: their click (sound and tactile feed-back) gets more and more anemic and hesitant. The Wallstreet and Lombard had the best keyboard, the Titanium’s was worse but still better than MacBook Pro's. Keyboard click is a lost art.
